Work-in-progress painting "Songs from Anneland: Wanderlust"

What did the fox say?

Fox encourages you to think outside the box and use your intelligence in different and creative ways
-Fox

I am working on this painting, and as always, I like to show you how I start a painting, and how it evolves before it´s finished.
The painting is in my traditional style, a moonlight dreamscape with whimsical trees. This time I´m working on some animals in there too.
Under the tree, guarding the entrance to the Underworld, is a beautyful fox.
I met this little fellow on a shamanic drum journey, and I just wanted to manifest him in this painting. The fox helped me on my journey to the Underworld, and I just felt a friendship with it. It´s a young fox, energetic, happy and playfull.
The title is "Wanderlust". I want to wander into new adventures, both on inner levels and in real life. I want to explore different states of consciousness. After reading about the symbolic meaning of the fox totem, I realize that the title is connected to the animal totem.

It always amazes me, what happens when we unravel the mind´s clutter, and true wisdom occurs!

The white lines on the painting are chalk. I use it to try different ideas before painting them into the motive. It´s really easy to wash off again.

I´m planning on panting all day tomorrow, so perhaps I can show you the final results ;-)
