Update on painting "Songs for my beloved"
April 26, 2015
New painting: Songs from Anneland: Songs for my beloved"
I still paint themes from my inner world of whimsical dreamscapes. I can´t really help it, it´s just the way my feelings and emotions wants to be expressed. Some people find my paintings dark and a bit scary, but to me they are full of love, light and hope. The scary part is just the inner shadow part, feeling alone and melancholic, but never without hope and trust.
This one tells the story of a tree, growing out on a cliff, singing odes for it´s beloved, the silent moon. Does she hear his songs of love? The painting isn´t finished yet, there are lots of work to do with it, but I thought I could show you some work in progress photos:

Copycat ;-)
I saw this youtube video about how to make this painting with LED lights. It looked like fun so I tried to make one myself. I can´t find the video and share the link, so this is me being a copycat ;-)

My little fox is done!
I like to make uncomplicated projects from time to time. This is one of them:
I sewed it in some white muslin (I think) It was just an old piece I had lying around. I found the pattern here: Emma Hall Art. It is quite easy and very well explained.
On the first picture the fox is sewed and covered in white gesso. I don´t think the artist behind the pattern did that. I did it to make more fur strukture. My gesso was old and a bit lumpy ;-) Perfect for this project!
I like him! What do you think?
I have had a thing for foxes for quite some time. The painting in the background is also including a fox, and a raven!

Mixed media painting
I just finished this mixed-media collage painting at my artschool. I never tried this befire, and loved the proces of mixing painting with tissuepaper. The possebilities are endless :-) At times it was like meditation, because the work is so piecefull and slow.
This piece ended as a reflection of my hope and dreams for this summer, as I am walking the Camino. There is all sort of details; the wanderer, sun, mountains, webs, birds, flowers, ladder, numbers, letters, shadows, arrows and much more. I think I will enjoy this tecnique more in the future.
