I recieved a nice apple

Hi!
Remember I talked about the artist swap yesterday?
Today I recieved a little pice of art from a fellow artist here in Denmark. Look at the amount of work! I really like it!

The old tree painting

I made this painting a couple of days ago. The canvas with deep sides measures 20 cm x 20 cm and is created with acyrylic painting, Posca pen, Swarovski hot fix rhinestones, vintage buttons and Windsor & Newtons Varnish.

The painting was made for an artist swap at "Min Kreative Moster". The theme was nature and as you might know, I adore trees! The motive in this painting is created by a long black line. The line start out as a tree, and then goes on to spell an old chinese saying: "The tall tree is always chopped down first, the old and crooked one stands for thousands of years". Isn´t that cool? Never be too clever. Be a bit invisable, and let others come first. Then you´ll avoid extreme situations, and have a happier life. Quite a contradiction to our society where everyone wants to be a star. I like that philosophy. Maybe that is why I connect to old daoism. I would like to be like that crooked tree.

I mailed it yesterday. I hope the reciever get´s very happy when she recieves it today

Problems with baking Proscupt

Today I recieved my long awaited (signed) book "Faemaker" by Dawn Schiller! I couldn´t wait to see if I could make fantasy caracters like the ones she makes... And now I know that I can... But I can´t show it to you!
Well, It started out just perfect. I followed Dawns instructions, and made one of my best heads ever! I mean, it was a masterpiece! (In my own opinion any way...) Then I tried to bake it.... how I´d wish that I hadn´t done so...

Look for yourself...

I recently bought a new oven for baking my sculpts. I set the temperature to 125 Celcius, and it baked for 6-7 minutes!! It is some convection-oven.
I think I will just throw it out. It has apparently no use in my studio. I will go back to my old one. It was a pain in the neck, but at least I could control the heat.
Very well, at least I didn´t spend hours sculpting the hands and feet and baked them along with the head.
I will start over tomorrow.
Have you had disasters like this?

I added a link to a baking tutorial. After reading it, I am starting to wonder if I need a bigger oven? Mine is the kind that stands on the table. How big is yours?

Words of wisdom

Once you accept that it is natural to create, you can begin to accept a second idea: that the Creator will hand you whatever you need for the project. The minute you are willing to accept the help of this collaborator, you will see useful bits of help everywhere in your life. Be alert: there is a second voice, a higher harmonic, adding to and augmenting your inner creative voice. This voice frequently shows itself in synchronicity.
Learn to accept the possibility that the universe is helping you with what you are doing. Become willing to see the hand of God and accept it as a friend’s offer to help.
Try to remember that God is the Great Artist. Artists like other artists. Expect the universe to support your dream. It will.
